Witness, You are being Preserved

Jeremiah 45:5

“Should you then seek great things for yourself? Do not seek them. For I will bring disaster on all

people, declares the Lord, but wherever you go I will let you escape with your life”

Many of us are trying to thrive. Many of us want to reach a level of success where we can finally feel content. We want to escape survival mode.

But this season is not it, my friend.

This season is meant for you to just survive.

And this is not me trying to discourage you or burden your heart with the weight of what you care for to not come to pass.

Because it will.

All things are a part of God’s plan.

So, read this with me.

Stay here with me.

While I break this down for what it means for you right now.

Those people you see thriving are not so much thriving but decaying in all the materialistic things they wanted.

Life isn’t about materialism.

Though it’s the easiest thing to obtain.

And why wouldn’t it feel rewarding?

To have so many beautiful things?

Why wouldn’t you feel blessed and lavished with such rarities?

Because they all fade.

They all rot.

But God’s love is everlasting.

A flower may wilt and bend with the coming seasons, but if tended and taken care of, it will flourish beyond its years.

As the trees climb to the heavens, they are not something someone wants.

But are the example of the fruits of patience.

The process takes time.

And it is in this time where people lose hope and want the easy way out.

The greed and envy envelope them.

And there they go.

Lost to the materialism that is only promised with their soul in return.

I’m not saying I don’t want things.

I’m not saying I don’t like them.

I’m just being honest here and admitting that God has seen me in all of who I am.

Chasing the dream of a big house, a lavish life and easy things.

But here’s the thought.

God can give you all of these suddenly.

But so can Satan.

The real difference?

What is the ambition in your heart?

Are you seeking the glory for yourself?

Seek them not.

At least not now.

Because God is coming forth to uproot all that He’s built.

An entire civilization and way of living is being erased.

Washed away to make way for his children.

A safe world.

A prosperous one.

So, as we all wait and strive for better, I tell you now, find Him.

Trust in his plan.

Ease your anxiety.

God is perfecting your place in the grand design of it all.

If you feel like you can’t breathe, know that this will not last forever.

Your struggles are seen.

Come to Him with your burdens.

Come to Him with your heart.

He is telling you now, “You’re not losing time. You’re not behind. You’re not far off. I’m protecting you from the dangers you unknowingly would face if you entered this space before I am done.”

Think about that.

Next time you think you’re behind or losing momentum, you are being protected.

By God himself.

You are loved.

Then why?

Why must we suffer and they revel in their riches?

Why you ask.

Because I am not God, but I am human and I can answer you that.

It’s because your riches are far greater.

Your fortune, your purpose comes with light and a freedom that is untouched by poison or erosion.

Your riches are everlasting.

Such as He.

So, wherever you go, you, YOU SPECIFICALLY, are going to be protected by His hands.

Friend, you are chosen.

Keep your heart pure from the temptations and ease your fears from the anxiety that ticks like time.

Your life is moving as it should be.

But at this moment, hold still, preservation is the blessing here.

Riches everlasting.

Promises fulfilled beyond what anyone can grant you.

Only Him.

Hold fast. Do not give in to the blindness of temptation.

Please. Do not give in.

Be steady.

Your time is coming.

All of ours is.

For God is working.

God is protecting you.

Preserve your heart.

Survival in this moment is the reward.

And how rewarding will it feel to know in that moment everything He did for you.
