Witness, In Silence He is Nearest You

Book of Esther 4:14

“For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for a time as this?”

Like every moment, I just opened the bible.

But this time was different.

This time, my bookmark was protruding from this section.

Pulling my eyes.

Divine intervention, I always see.

I opened the book to Esther and began to read.

It seemed just that.

A book.

A novel.

A short story.

Of a woman who didn’t ask for any of it but found herself at the heart of all of it.

Reading this story, I found myself in glee as if reading a fantasy novel I reveled in.

The way the story played out—the plot.

It was pure excellence.

The detail in what is described—the world building was definite.

This was a story written beautifully.

As my eyes feasted upon it, I couldn’t help but lean inward, frightened for Esther but praying myself for the deliverance of her people.

Then as she set the plan in motion, the way she carried herself gracefully amidst the chaos and overbearing anxiety pulled me.

Are we not Esther?

This wasn’t about destiny in a dramatic sense— though that’s how it played in my mind.

No.

This is about recognizing your current position.

Your gifts.

Your influence.

Your voice.

You story.

None of it is random.

And taking a look back at Ecclesiastes, we know now that we were meant to be happy.

Pursue what our hands find purpose and joy in.

Not clinging to the flaw of human design—the limits!

Following after that was Esther and now we must understand that too was not random.

Where you are now—right now is not accidental.

Your platform, your writing, your purpose—what you’re drawn too has meaning.

But you must act.

You must be willing not ready.

You don’t need to see God to be guided by Him.

You don’t need to feel ready to be used to your full purpose.

You don’t need to be loud for your voice to be the one heard above the masses.

You just need to step into the moment when it arrives.

In the beginning, Mordecai told her to keep her lineage a secret, but in the end, she had to reveal herself to save her people.

Her power came from owning her own identity, not hiding it.

You don’t find yourself or your voice by shaping it.

You find your identity—your story, your truth, your purpose—by revealing it.

This breaks the chains of generations.

And did you know…

This is the only book where God’s name is not mentioned.

Not a single time.

Why?

Because this is a message to me and you.

God does not have to be visible for us to know that He is present.

God is always there—always active—always working—always moving for you even when it feels like He is absent.

Your life doesn’t need burning bushes and parted seas for you to know God is right there with you through the hard times.

So, next time your life –your heart is mourning his absence and feels abandoned—know

KNOW

He is not done with you, yet.

He is getting everything ready.

Everything He needs.

To help you transcend your human design

Trust in Him.

Trust in yourself.

God is working.

God is here.
